So it was hard to say goodbye to JP2 today. Hundreds of thousands were in St. Peter's, and there was not a dry eye in the place. Millions of others took part in commemorations and billions more watched on television.

But he has gone to the bosom of his Master, who I am sure held him close and whispered "well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord."
